The highest legal authority in Nicaragua released its report on the title situation on the whole Isla Real Las Penas last week. This written report has been in process for over 7 months and is a careful review of all the land titles on the island which is over 40 titles. The proper ownership was determined and the borders re surveyed with markers constructed. Tamarindo Beach is re confirmed to be exactly as it has always been with proper title. However, there has been some clarifications on other parts of the island to the north. This bodes well for more parcels to be insured on the island and future development of the land. With over 100 foreigners owning land on the island at present, this step was neccessary to clarify the land registration for the state government.
