Christmas 2011 saw the first shipping container delivered to the Tamarindo site. The pictured storage container is for construction materials and tools as we push forward to service the entire multi acre site. This container was placed near the guard rancho, at the end of the 5.8 kilometer, or 3.5 mile, run of 90 newly installed concrete power poles.  Pole #1 of the new concrete poles begins at the Las Marimbas School, where we began building this new island access road on high ground in 2006/07. This new electricity line will be energized with 25,000 volts in 2012. This shipping container will be metered and electrified for use by our construction team. The three island development community members are committed to providing quality services and continue to work together smoothly. The electricity and water system are privately owned and installed at great expense by the three mid island developers.
