Certainly, the major project during 2010 has been the power installation phase 1, which is almost complete after a 5 year effort. The first 4 years were permit, design, sub station refit, road permits, engineering and more red tape. The work started in July 2010. The crews are stringing the high voltage line now over the 5.8 km and 80+ new concrete poles that we have been putting up since July. The route is from the Salinas Grandes village road over 5.8 km to the mid island location at the green metal gate.

We expect to have 25,000 volts running in Mid 2011. Transformers and secondary lines are right behind them so we expect to have 110 volts on the island for power tools by in 2011.
