Fresh Water

At Tamarindo Beach, residents can enjoy the comforts of home with the availability of fresh water. Presently, there are two operating 10,000 gallon water tank towers (see photo) on the neighbouring two developments within 800 feet of Tamarindo Beach. The water line terminates at the front gate of Tamarindo Beach & Ocean Estates. Our construction requirement is to dig up the road, lay pipe and add lot T junctions. One 15,000 gallon drum style tank is installed off island (see photo).

Another two 10,000 gallon tanks are to be installed at Tamarindo Beach shortly. The tower design is to clad the steel in wood so as to be a viewing tower and to be more natural in design. A new well was drilled in July 2006 to add to the two existing wells, and ensure ample water for many years. The design and construction of the water system will be complete by December 2006. Future water supply lands in the area are constantly being identified and purchased.

It is the responsibility of all residents to ensure the proper back up supply of water by installing a cistern at their residence.  Each household holding tank, or cistern, will be filled by the development water system, and be available to the respective house, as a backup tank.

Additionally, in the house design, we are providing an option to owners to attach a rain water collection system.  This alternative roof water collection is for landscaping and additional household water.  This collection tank will be located underneath the house.
