Big Fish are Biting off Tamarindo Beach Print E-mail
Friday, 28 September 2007

Early August, we hired a local Tamarindo fisherman to take us out and fish the local waters in preperation for operating a sport fishing operation from the Tamarindo resort. We had a fantastically successful day with many instances of boiling waters around our boat. After pulling in several Mackeral and White Fin Tuna, we headed further out in search of Marlin and Dorado.

At fourteen miles offshore, which is quite close, we found many varities of big fish jumping.  This area is unspolied and never fished, yet offers the same high quality sport fishing  that is a $500 million dollar industry in Costa Rica, 90 miles south. We chased the billfish for several hours but we were poorly equipped to land one.

Being convinced of the potential of Tamarindo Beach Resort, we secured our building lot and have begun planning to offer guided fish charters to whomever is interested. If you are interested, please contact me through Nicaprojects.

However, in September 2007, we were prepared and have a look at the bounty. Tamarindo Beach & Ocean Estates Resort is an anglers dream.
