At Tamarindo Beach, residents can enjoy the comforts of home with the availability of fresh water. Presently, there are two operating 10,000 gallon water tank towers (see photo) on the neighbouring two developments within 800 feet of Tamarindo Beach. The water line terminates at the front gate of Tamarindo Beach & Ocean Estates. Our construction requirement is to dig up the road, lay pipe and add lot T junctions. One 15,000 gallon drum style tank is installed off island (see photo).

Nicaraguan Telephone Company Receives Large Investment For Upgrades.

Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim, the world's third-richest man behind Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, will invest $250 million in Nicaragua's telecommunications sector over the next three years, his local phone company Enitel announced February 6th.

Slim met with President Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua in early February and said he could do business with the former 1980s Marxist guerrilla leader, who returned to power in January. Enitel said in a statement that following the visit Slim had decided to invest $250 million in Nicaragua's telecom sector between 2007 and 2009.

As of September 2007, the Wi-BAN technology for Mex Tel, will be available in Nicaragua.  The Wi-BAN will provide a superior system for VOIP, adsl, and satelite television services.  The Wi-BAN cabling will narrow the telecommunication line to one single line into each of our beachfront houses.  We are currently negotiating with the ENTRESA to install the required tower at Tamarindo Beach and the Wi-BAN will be used to access each residence.

Enitel has invested more than $300 million over the last three years in Nicaragua. The planned $75 million investment for 2007 will be directed at the areas of mobile, fixed line and data telecommunications, as well as high-speed Internet systems

Sewage Treatment Print E-mail

The engineer design for a sewage treatment plant is complete. The sewage treatment plan will be located on the North section of the project in Phase two. This location was selected so any cross winds will move any smell away from any house and across the estuary. The plant that features virtually no discharge of dirty water. It reuses the treated brown water to irrigate the plants and grass. This sewage system is used widely in Central and South America and is the preferred system of the Nicaraguan environmental authority. Tamarindo will have a well designed, complete waste water treatment facility.  It is already included in the overall development civil engineering plans.

New Concrete Power Pole Delivery

The upgrade of electrical service to North American standards is going well. This 3 km section of concrete poles attaches to the 3 phase municipal line on the Salinas Town Main road. We are adding spreaders to the top and changing the wire to 3 phase. The final 4 kms to the end of Tamarindo Beach requires new concrete poles. Tamarindo Resort electrical services will likely be underground so that there are no unsightly poles, transformers or wires. Only two ground based transformers will be required.

Electricity is measured in terms of voltage and current. Using the analogy of water supply, voltage is analogous to pressure, and current is analogous to flow. Voltage is measured in Volts (V). Current is measured in Amperes (A). Power is Voltage multiplied by current, measured in Watts (W) or thousands of watts, kilowatts (kW). One kW is equivalent to 1.34 horsepower.
